Eczema/Excema/Dermatitis
Eczema/Excema/Dermatitis is a name for a group of skin conditions characterized with several different symptoms, including:
- dry, hot and itchy skin as a milder form
- broken skin, raw skin and even bleeding in a more severe manifestation.
Eczema is not contagious.
There are several different types of eczema:
- Atopic eczema (allergic eczema/excema)
- Allergic contact dermatitis (Allergic contact eczema/excema)
- Irritant contact dermatitis (Irritant contact eczema/excema)
- Infantile seborrhoeic eczema/excema (Infantile seborrhoeic dermatitis)
- Adult seborrhoeic eczema/excema (Adult seborrhoeic dermatitis)
- Varicose eczema
- Discoid eczema
Eczema can affect all age groups, including newborn kids.
Most types of eczema are either a symptom of allergy, or a symptom of liver disfunction or a symptom of poor digestion all some or all of the above.
In kids, genetic predisposition, exposure to toxins during pregnancy, and vaccination are considered equally important risk factors.
Vaccination is the most common risk factors. Children who were breast fed and never vaccinated are least likely to develope symptoms of eczema.
Diet and lifestyle, stress in all formes, lack of physical activity are considered important risk factors.
